Error 0xc00007b “Application was unable to start correctly”
There can be different causes for the error 0xc00007b to pop-up. The most common is an incompatibility between 32-bit applications and your 64-bit system. An example is when a 32-bit application tries to run in a 64-bit system.

Please try these solutions until you find the one that fixes the issue for you:

1. Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.

2. Repair DirectX

  1. Hold Windows Key and Press R
  2. Type “C:\Windows\System32” in the run dialog and click OK
  3. Locate the following files and delete them; then empty the trash.
    1. “xinput1_1.dll”
    2. “xinput1_2.dll”
    3. “xinput1_3.dll”
    4. and all other files starting with "xinput1_*.dll"

      Be careful while deleting, because if an incorrect file is deleted; you will run into new issues.
  4. After the files are deleted, click the link below to download and run the DirectX setup

  5. Run the downloaded file; and follow the prompts on screen to install DirectX.
  6. Once it has been installed, reboot your computer and then try running Black Squad again.
3. Reinstall .NET framework

Go to https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa496123 and download the latest .NET framework installer. Once downloaded, proceed to install, reboot, and try running Black Squad again.

4. Reinstall Black Squad

Delete the game from Steam. Then install it again.

When the installation has finished, reboot your PC and run Steam as Administrator.

5. Run CHKDSK

6. Replace DLLs for 64 Bit System

Download all Windows 64-bit DLLs from here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qix6CzBIiwD7R4szDgd9UvBfywCyvuRk/view

  1. Extract them to a folder on your desktop.
  2. Hold Windows Key and Press R
  3. Type “C:\Windows\System32” in the run dialog and click OK
  4. Make a backup for the extracted dll files (mfc100.dll, mfc100u.dll, msvcr100.dll, msvcp100.dll and msvcr100_clr0400.dll) in case it does not support your OS
  5. Copy the extracted files (mfc100.dll, mfc100u.dll, msvcr100.dll, msvcp100.dll and msvcr100_clr0400.dll) and paste them to System32; if prompted about the files already existing, then select “replace”.
7. Install & Run VC Redist

Download the VC Redist installer here: https://aka.ms/vs/15/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

Run the installer and reboot. Then try to run Black Squad again.
